A Breath for Life is dedicated to providing affordable hyperbaric oxygen treatment for all
What is HBOT?
Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT) is a therapy that increases the oxygen level in tissues throughout the body.
By breathing 100% oxygen in the pressurised chamber, the oxygen is dissolved into the blood plasma as well as combining with the haemoglobin in red blood cells.
More oxygen is then available to diffuse across tissue membranes into neighbouring areas, even those which may have a reduced blood supply.
This increased oxygenation encourages, accelerates and enhances the body’s natural healing processes, reducing the effects of many injuries and illnesses.
HBOT can be used to enhance the effect of many “conventional” medical treatments and procedures, with many people using it in preparation for as well as after such interventions.
